Media Training
We know that speaking with media can be intimidating, and for some, downright scary. And, it's no
longer enough to simply get information about your organization into print or on the air. With so
many media outlets and so many organizations competing for attention, the challenge now is to punch
through the noise and get your message heard by the people you want to reach. That calls for a savvy
approach to every media opportunity.
Media training is a fully developed discipline that is equal parts theory and practice. We teach trainees to
understand the media and its motivation, while providing them with techniques to control interviews. We work
on developing strategic messages and teach "students" how to deliver them in any interview situation. We have
a television studio in our Chicago office - complete with standard studio lighting, cameras, feedback monitors
and set.
We tailor our programs to individual client needs, structuring training sessions according to the number of
participants and their communications objectives. Because we have experience in handling all types of
interviews, our training can include - as needed - radio, television and print interviews. If appropriate,
we also can concentrate on press conference scenarios.
