Allison has nearly two decades of experience in brand building and product promotion for clients ranging from home décor/improvement brands to manufacturers of paper towels, toilet paper and underwear. She also has a strong background in internal and trade communications, as well as reputation and crisis management.
Job Highlights
Before LCWA
Allison supervised communications programs for a boutique Chicago public relations firm that merged with LCWA in 1993. Prior to that, she provided public relations counsel to many of the nation’s largest homebuilders.
Involvement
Allison has earned a multitude of public relations industry honors —
including the Publicity Club of Chicago’s (PCC) prestigious Elynore D.
Meserow Creativity Award and “Best in Show” honors from the Public Relations
Society of America (PRSA). She is on the Executive Board of the Junior
League of Kane & DuPage Counties and serves as the organization’s communications
chair and public relations/marketing coordinator.
Education
Allison hails from St. Joseph, Mich., and graduated from Miami University
in Oxford, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism/public
relations.
Fun Fact
Allison’s alter-ego is a musical theater performer. When she’s not working or chasing her two young children around the house, you might find her belting out a song on a Chicagoland stage.
