Before LCWA
Hunter started his career in the CNN newsroom, where he assisted reporters, anchors and producers in daily newsgathering and production duties. From there, he joined a strategic communications firm in Washington, DC, where he executed major communications plans for government clients.

Involvement
Hunter has been an active member of the Public Relations Society of America for nearly four years, and his work has garnered several industry awards, including a Silver Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators.

Education
A native of Nashville, Tenn., Hunter graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and international studies. He also studied international affairs at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and digital media at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC.

As a teenager, Hunter was plucked from the audience to sing onstage with Shania Twain.
