As the daily client contact for her accounts, Laura is always available to provide public relations counsel, facilitate media opportunities and offer immediate, knowledgeable insight on the status and next steps of the multi-faceted programs to which she contributes. And she does it with a smile.

Job Highlights

• Helping Eureka and Electrolux get national TV placements two years in a row at the International Home and Housewares Show
• Launching the La-Z-Boy partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities and seeing, in person, all the families who would benefit from the new furniture
• Searching North America for just the right Great Dane puppy to attend Pergo events to motivate its employees

Before LCWA
Before joining LCWA nearly five years ago, Laura had internships with her university’s alumni department as well as a local sheriff’s department. She also handled communications as a volunteer with a not-for-profit organization.

Involvement
Laura has won a lucky 13 different industry awards for her work at LCWA. She is active in her community and church, serving on the Junior Board and Regional Advisory Board for Catholic Charities.

Education
Laura grew up in Clarkston, Mich., and graduated from DePaul University with honors, earning a bachelor’s degree in communication (emphasis in public relations) and a minor in German language.

Fun Fact
Laura lived abroad in Bonn, Germany in 2003. She relies on her German-language desk calendar to remind her of the experience and to salvage any remaining German-speaking abilities!
