Samantha executes strategic public relations programs on behalf of our clients. Whether pitching media on a new product or story, creating a consumer e-newsletter or planning a press conference, Samantha has an eye for details and a passion for perfection.

Job Highlights

• Developing and managing a number of successful online contests for Eureka and Electrolux
• Working with national TV shows — including “Ellen” for Eureka, “The Early Show” for Electrolux and “Today” for Pergo
• Coordinating the annual "Teen Gun Survey" press conference for UCAN and landing a number of high-profile local media placements

Before LCWA
Samantha held a variety of internships in the communications field before joining LCWA five years ago. She was a marketing intern for her state’s fair where she wrote numerous press releases and worked with the local newspaper to produce the Fair’s “Daily Program of Events.” She also interned at a law firm, where she prepared presentation materials and worked with local media to gain coverage of the attorneys’ speaking engagements, and assisted with a gubernatorial re-election campaign by finding opportunities for the candidate to meet with constituents from around the state.

Involvement
Samantha has earned seven industry awards for her work. She is a vice president of the UCAN Auxiliary Board and is active in her church.

Education
Samantha hails from Fairbank, Iowa, and graduated from Drake University in Des Monies, Iowa, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication. She majored in public relations with an emphasis in marketing.

Samantha’s experience with online cnotests has paid off. She recently won an online essay contest and earned a free African safari!
